Accommodation assistance from the Caisse d’Allocations Familiale (CAF) is not cumulative and is granted in the following order of priority, subject to resources.

- The ALF (allocation de logement familial - family accommodation allowance) is intended for people who do not qualify for the APL and who have been married for less than 5 years or have children (born or unborn) or a dependant.
- The ALS (allocation de logement social - social housing allowance) is for tenants who are not eligible for either the APL or the ALF.

Having a guarantor
You will be asked to provide a guarantor, a natural person who is liable if you fail to honour your obligations to your landlord.
If you don’t have one, you can use the Visale scheme. This service, available free of charge to students aged 18 to 30 who request it, will act as a guarantor for your landlord.
Benefit from a deposit advance
To help you finance the cost of moving into your new accommodation, you can apply for a Loca-Pass advance, subject to certain conditions. This loan is intended to finance the security deposit required by the landlord.
Benefit from the housing solidarity fund
Granted by the département after examining the application, the FSL helps with costs associated with moving into or staying in accommodation.
